Everyday Plastic X Greenpeace
The Big Plastic Count 2024
Brief.
Following the release of The Big Plastic Count 2024 survey results in March 2024, which revealed UK households discard an estimated 90 billion plastic pieces annually, with only 17% being recycled domestically, launched a nationwide OOH advertising campaign with to mark the results from the survey.
The national OOH campaign went live at Easter across 10 Ocean Outdoor sites in major UK cities, including Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Nottingham. Everyday Plastic, alongside five other charities, was awarded advertising space via Ocean Outdoor’s annual Drops In The Ocean environmental fund.
Solution.
We were fortunate enough to be asked to look after the creative and digital roll out for the campaign. With a turnaround of just one week, we worked from the The Big Plastic Counts creative look and feel to design and roll out all the static and digital outputs for the campaign across the country.
Dan Webb, Founder of Everyday Plastic and The Big Plastic Count said:
"Thanks to Friends of Mine for going the extra miles and then some to create these impactful ads. It was massively reassuring to be able to hand over the design, production and project management of our first ever OOH campaign to such an experienced agency during such a busy time. Your support, advice and ideas made this whole process so much easier. And look at the result! The ads are so awesome. Thank you."
